Lost bookmarks in a crash and hard to find it in the mozilla map
Hey. My laptop crashed. I have manage to save the whole firefox map by extracting it from the old harddrive. Now I putted the old mozilla firefox map and have it on the desktop. And now I'm sitting and going trough each file but there is nothing named bookmarks or favorites or anything. In what type and what type of name does it save under, because I wish to take that files into my new mozilla installation so that I can see my old bookmarks. Why is is that you don't make like internet explorer so that I can easly access bookmarks?

bookmarks.html has not been used since Firefox 3.0.2; what is now used is a database file (places.sqlite) which you could replace with Firefox down, or you can restore a .json file from the bookmarkbackups folder with Firefox up.
Right now you have nothing and you have a backup, so you have an excellent opportunity to learn how to restore a profile, how to work with multiple profiles.

More information on Bookmarks:
- You do not want to import bookmarks as that places the imported bookmarks into your existing Bookmarks Menu. Right know you are looking for replacement of bookmarks or of profile.
