Every time I open a new tab it immediately opens to a website. Where can I make it so when I open a new tab it opens a blank page? I've looked through all the settings and I can't find how to solve this. I don't want a website opening whenever I open a new, blank tab.

The only way of that happening that I know of is with an extension, perhaps one of these

"New Tab Homepage" -- https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/777/

another would probably be "Tab Mix Plus", almost certainly an extension with "Tab" in it's name.

The page for a blank page is about:blank that should give you a blank page and can also be used as your home page if you like. But verify that you do infact get a blank page with that typed into the location bar.
