how to get rid of Bing in the search bar
When downloading a game (someone not me) failed to uncheck the box for downloading a gamesbar. IE, Chrome & Firefox got a new homepage and Bing as default search engine. I fixed the homepages. I believe I fixed the search engine on all but firefox. I uninstalled the gamesbar & any games that came with it. I also uninstalled Firefox, deleted the firefox setup.exe file, then downloaded Firefox & installed it. Guess what persists...Bing in the searchbar. This is to the right of the address bar. I hate Bing. This feels invasive. I cannot figure out what to do. I won't use Firefox until I get rid of Bing. I wonder why it is easier to drop Bing from both IE & Chrome. Anyway, Please someone help me.

Right-click on your Search bar - add, change and manage search engines on Firefox, click "Manage Search Engines", then select the one you wish to remove and click "Remove".
Also note that in current versions of Firefox, both Yahoo and Bing do come preinstalled as an available search to select, though Google is the default. Some people requested them I think, but the list should always be customizable.
If simply removing it from your list doesn't work, you may have some dubious addon forcing things for you. -> Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
There is no list. It gives me no selections. Right clicking on it gives the typical right click menu (with paste in it). Sorry I didn't state that more clearly. It's locked with Bing. The gamesbar did this. I managed to fix the exact same problem in IE & Chrome but can't get anyywhere in Firefox. Even uninstalling Firefox and re-installing it didn't help. Thank you ...
i even uninstalled the bing program from my pc and its still there. there is no extension called bing in my extensions. i want to hit somebody hard.
