I went to that URL, but I'm not sure which buttons are the problem. Menus seem to work. Could you describe the problem in more detail?
When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Thanks for the helpful reply. It turns out the website was having problems with too much traffic. I'll save your answer, as it very well may come in handy in the future. Thanks again.
I'm having the same problem with additional issues since upgrading to 13.0.1. The "Browse" button on VeeHD.com/upload is no longer even visible. Additionally, YouTube videos and Flash content on other sites will not run and sometimes are not even visible. To access these, I have to exit FireFox and open Google Chrome (which I dislike almost as much as IE).
I attempted the fixes you suggested, additionally I manually updated Adobe Flash and Java. I have also tried disabling Adobe and using the VLC plugin exclusively to no effect.
The only option I can see is attempting to downgrade FireFox back to v.12. If you have any other suggestions I would appreciate the input. If not, a link to the v.12 installer and instructions would be very helpful.
Hi redfish2, there are some compatibility issues between the latest Flash player and some Firefox add-ons or settings. Could you see whether anything in this article helps: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox.
none of these suggestions have worked. I'm forced to use MIE. In addition, I can no longer recommend Firefox as a browser. Too bad there is no one at the Company that I can speak to about this. Apparently, they don't care! I have a website I'm building on Netfirms. MIE works fine, but Firefox does not.
Hi bosch3, could you start a new thread about your website on NetFirms? You can either do that here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/que.../d1 -- on the page you get after your enter your question, scroll down and use the blue button) or on the mozillaZine Web Development board, which is separate forum more oriented toward developers.
With respect to your issues with buttons, are they problems specifically with Flash buttons or some other kind of buttons (e.g., Java, JavaScript mouseover, CSS hover)? A specific URL is always helpful for diagnosis. Thanks.
Thank you for your help. I did not downgrade Adobe, but when I disabled Real Player's download option for IE and Google, FireFox started working properly. I don't understand why that was necessary since I had disabled it in FireFox add-ons already.
