All https: websites are experiencing cert untrusted errors with Digitalmarketresearchapps Pty Ltd showing as cert provider. No viruses detected on my system.
I've suddenly started experiencing the "untrusted connection" problem on previously working https: websites with the "no issuer chain provided" as the reason. I've tried all the suggested solutions and nothing works. I've run several antivirus programs and no viruses or malware detected. I do not have ESET installed as suggested in previous solutions. Viewing the certificates for the failing sites shows that the provider in all instances is "Digitalmarketresearchapps Pty Ltd". The certificates always show a start of today's date and an expiration of 2039. I think I've picked up something that is causing the problem, but, like I said, none of my antivirus/malware programs are detecting anything.

I had this issue as well, and it ended up being caused by installing the E-Rewards Notify app. I had to uninstall it, then restore my computer to an earlier time to fix the certificate signer back to "Thawte Consulting (Pty) Ltd". I have contacted E-Rewards to let them know, and to ask why this would happen.

Hi rprimeau,
if you already check SSL is disabled
maybe useful : Skip Cert Error add-on
also, if you are suspicious for malware, check with a few malware scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. Make sure to update each program to get the latest version before doing a scan.

thank you
Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.
Some examples are ESET and Bitdefender.
See:
- ESET setup -> advanced setup -> extend web and email tree -> SSL
- SSL protocol: Do not scan SSL protocol
- BitDefender -> Privacy settings -> disable Scan SSL

The e-Rewards app was the culprit! I had installed in on 8/30/12 and that's when my problems started happening. I did a system restore to 8/29, upgraded to the latest version of Firefox, restored my profile via MozBackup and everything is working again! I am sending a strongly worded complaint to e-Rewards. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I never would have suspected it.
Glad to have helped. Im also waiting on a response from E-rewards
Just went through this crazy ordeal. Did anyone ever hear back from E-rewards?
I just ended up uninstalling the app. E Rewards never fixed it as far as I know. Not worth it.
I got this error and realised my time settings on the computer where messed up by a few years. Make sure you check that aswell as it will flag alot of certificates as expired if this is the case.
I found it I had download it ie to install it.
