firefox can not load certain pages and do certain functions, i.e. attach a link in Linked IN. IE can.
firefox can not be used on certain sites. For example, it cannot attach a file on Linked In. This is a very widely used site! It cannot open certain site pages- like loopfuse.net support. It cannot upload files on certain sites- like loopfuse.net However, Internet Explorer can!! What is wrong with firefox? Can it be fixed?

Please try to update Firefox to 17 (or 17.0.1 if it is out when you try this). Update Firefox to the latest release
Then read Websites look wrong or appear differently than they should
Thanks, but this did not address the problem. Can someone help?
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

I already did this. It did not solve the problem.
Now I can't log into my bank acct because firefox is set to not accept cookies and I can't find how to change it. You have made it so dificult to use and offer virtually no support. How do you expect anyone to use this? I have changed my default browser to IE.
I read an article and now my tools menu does not have the options button as shown in the article. How do you expect me to use this thing?????
- Press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.
- Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.

If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
