Firefox getting stuck even in Safe Mode, affecting start up, may be?
Hi this morning I found that my PC with Widows 7 restarted. I went to check my email and firefox got stuck. I turned it off and restarted. I then noticed that once the desktop came up the PC started to get really sluggish. It did load up, but after a a bit of time more than normal. When I hit firefox and went to check my Hotmail/outlook email... it froze up again. I then resrted the PC in Safe mode w/ network and everything loaded fast and fine. But when I went to Firefox it froze again when I went to check my mail. I tried this as well in firefox Safe mode also, aqnd still nothing. I then tried to reset firefoz while in safe mode and I get the pop windows telling it is about to transfer but it freezes again. Is this a firefox issue and what can I do?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Ok their seems to have been a problem bigger than just firefox, Firefox now just freezes as soon as it runs. I did a virsu check and got rid of 3 of them. I Noticed that Avast and Chrome need to be reinstalled over the old prgrams since they were corrupted, can and if I reinstall over firefox will it save my personal data or will I have to manually save it first?
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
It is always a good idea to have a backup of your personal profile data, so if you've never done this then this is a good opportunity to start doing this.
