I'm not sure what version of Firefox I'm using, but I'm no longer able to view favorites. Also, it takes a long time to start Firefox.

I'm starting to not like using Firefox and instead prefer using other browsers.

Hello kalkebulan,

please download the latest version of Mozilla Firefox Webbrowser (http://www.mozilla.org). If it´s still not working, disable some add-ons and clear your cache.

Do not hesitate to contact us further.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.
