Right-clicking any other folder than Inbox shows the option 'New Subfolder' here.

Try to start Thunderbird in safe mode and check if this makes a difference.

No help. there's 10 menu items, none of which is "New Subfolder."

Is this an IMAP account? Then your email provider may limit the number of subfolders levels you can create.

Can you create subfolders underneath Local Folders?

It is IMAP. And I *can* create subfolders under Local Folders...

It used to work. Can I move my folders to Local? Does that mean they're stored on my computer? That would be preferable anyway...
