Mozilla won't let me play videos
This only happens on my desktop, but I can't play any videos from the Yahoo website. I thought Yahoo was having a problem, but it is only on my computer. I tried uninstalling Mozilla and reinstalling it but it didn't help. I don't want to have to go back to my old browser. Please advise.

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
I have the same problem, and I have tried all the troubleshooting and checked other support articles and users with similar problems, but still no luck.
All plugins are up to date. Internet Explorer plays all these files without any problem, so I know it has to be Firefox issue or bug.
For example, I cannot play this video on Firefox, but it plays on IE:

Problem solved! I downloaded and installed Firefox 24.0 Beta. Apparently Mozilla programming team made all the right changes in the new release. Now all videos starting working on Yahoo and BBC.
