Lost key
I can't find the key I was sent months ago when I registered sync on my PC. There appears to be no way to retrieve it . . does this mean all my synced data is gone forever? If this is the way it is this product sucks out loud.

The key is not recorded by Mozilla so that you can be assured that your data stays private. Bit of a shame that in this case it causes an inconvenience for you. Most other bookmark sync services attempt to make money off knowing what you bookmark. This is impossible with the system Mozilla Firefox has set up.
You can reset your sync key. It will delete all of your data on the server and upload a new copy from your computer. See https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20Sync%20is%20not%20working#w_ive-lost-my-sync-key-what-can-i-do
Well without any way of obtaining the key, this method is a waste of my time. That there aren't other security measures that can be used to restore an account is just an epic fail. Thanks for the help, but I won't be using it anymore.
jimihendrix, the first response above linked to this article that shows how to obtain your sync key.
The response from Verdi shows how to reset your sync key and restore your account, if that doesn't work.
Geez mrbrubek, I guess those remedial reading classes didn't pay off after all. Too bad.
