On Firefox Mobile there does not appear to be a way to either view your sync key nor add a new sync client. My laptop died and I can not longer access my desktop Firefox so I'm trying to set up sync on Firefox on a new laptop using Firefox Mobile.

If you have your user name and password from sync you can use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/aboutsynckey/ to view your sync key. The user name, password and the sync key are the three pieces of info you will need to set up sync.

There is no way to add a client using a mobile device.

That application is only useful for Firefox 8, which doesn't even exist yet, so stop hawking a bogus product.
