After a power failure in my area while I was online, my Firefox is now giving me "Network protocol error", half loading pages, seldom loading images, slow streaming on YouTube, and "problem loading page"(s).

I am advised by Firefox to inform the website owners but this is surely a Firefox browser problem, not a problem with Google or Facebook or YouTube or any website.

I am on Linux Mint 17. something on a 64bit system.

How does this get fixed?

Its possible files on your computer were corrupted because of the power failure. Windows has System File Check to repair system files. Does Linux?
