How do I get rid of the dev.gradbox? It keeps popping up when I'm trying to schedule patients. I have NO use for the social media apps!

Last week there suddenly appeared a box with access to google, twitter etc. It pops up all the time while I'm trying to schedule people or am in the middle of writing an email or working in excel. It's impossible to get rid of and I've lost things I've been working on while trying to get rid of it. Please someone HELP ME!

I assume this is not a delightful new feature of the website you're using?

There's a pretty good chance this comes from an add-on. Try this:

Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.

Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Does that suppress the bar?

Oh, hold on, it comes up when you are working in Excel? Does it come up in a Firefox window, or it is a completely independent window? You may need to do the following:

(1) Check the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program

Click the "Installed on" column heading to group by date. This helps identify new additions you might not recognize as well as bundled items that may have snuck onto your system with some free software. I would the recent additions you do not recognize as useful.

(2) Supplement your regular security scans
