I get a message that firefox is already open but not responding, I have to close and open firefox and it works one time only. If I cut and paste link from thunderbird it opens it.

I'm not sure but it may have started when I got a "tab mix plus" update ... I don't even remember having tab mix plus? Unless it came with firefox.

You will have to open one Firefox instance without using the -no-remote command line switch and only use this switch to open additional Firefox instances. Then you can open a link from an external application using that first Firefox instance that was started without -no-remote.

This can happen if you start Firefox with the -no-remote command line switch or have the MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 environment variable set.

Check the target field in the Firefox desktop shortcut and make sure that you do not start Firefox with the -no-remote switch or have set the environment variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1 (Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables).

Yes my link to open thunderbird does say "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -no-remote -P

Is there another way to open multiple profiles without this problem?
