Can't send anymore. Outgoing server changed. Passwords don't work

more options

I can receive e mails sent through the host's servers but when I try to send I get a message: Outgoing server (SMTP) Password Required. Enter your password for "me.mywebsite.com".

I know there are lots of posts in your database for Thunderbird send problems but here is the issue;

For years my isp relayed e mail through one of their e mail servers to my website's e mail server. The isp has changed policy and won't relay sent messages any more. The isp's mail server, for which I have/had a password, is no longer my smtp outgoing mail server. The isp told me that i have to use the outgoing mail server address for my website. I changed the settings in Thunderbird to the new outgoing server for my host.

So far so good. Now for the real problem.

The host of my website (which not my isp) could give me or reset info to reset my password on the website but I am not listed as the administrator on their account for my website. The guy I pay to take care of that stuff is listed. That guy who administers my account does not respond to e mail, his phones are disconnected, no address except a po box. I know that I should have the password/pin for that account and I did until he switched to a newer host.

In preferences/security/passwords my account "me.mywebsite.com" is listed for the old relay server at my ISP and the associated password is there. Well, the ISP won't relay anymore and I can't seem to put the new e mail server into the account. And even if I was able to put the new server into the password section of security, I don't have that password.

Is there any way around this? Am I missing something? Sorry for the rambling on this but I'm just a user not a techie and I am just struggling with this.

Email passwords are administered with your email provider. You are going to have to solve this with them.
