For example: If you were browsing Google and clicked on a Wikipedia link, it wouldn't use "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article", it would direct you to "https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Article" instead. I've been having trouble trying to find it again, may you please help me?

Thanks, but that can't work globally. Most sites do not support any form of secure connection, and try to force them to doesn't work. The addon I'm thinking redirects you if there is a secure connection available.

You might be thinking of HTTPS-Everywhere by the EFF.

www.eff.org/https-everywhere

It doesn't work for every site that supports SSL, but it has a lot of pre-programmed URL conversions, including the Wikipedia one that you mentioned.
