I have to close an reopen Thunderbird in order for new emails to come through. Can anybody help with this?
Wrote a question and its gone. I have to close and reopen thunderbird in order for a new email to come through on my main account. Its working on another one, but not my main one. None of the settings have changed and I have not done anything differently. I have removed thunderbird and reinstalled and done the same with the email account but still not working.
Any help would be great

I didn't to write a long message in case it didn't work again so I will add some more info now:
Thunderbird has always worked historically, this is the first time that this has happened and as I said it is only happening on the one account. All of the settings were exactly the same. My server, Zoho, had some downtime this morning but this hasn't affected my other email account so I'm not sure why its affected this one?
The only way to get emails is to shut thunderbird and then reopen it. Emails come through on my phone fine, just not thunderbird. This is how I know I have a new email. So I close, it, reopen it, and the email comes through.
It appears as though the get message button is not working.
I tried changing the time mozilla searches for emails to 2 minutes but this made no difference so I changed it back. After trying everything, this was when I reinstalled it and then removed/re-added accounts etc.
