Thunderbird not starting after update (not even in safe mode) - last working version was 52.6.0
My Thunderbird does not start up anymore after it was updated. Nothing at all happens, and it does not show up in the task manager (Windows 10). It does not start in Thunderbird's safe mode. The last working version was 52.6.0, and I've tried every update since then. The only way I get it to work again is by backing up my profile, uninstalling Thunderbird, and reinstalling 52.6.0. Can anyone help?

what happens when you install Thunderbird 60 and disable your anti virus product? Usually these sorts of issues are caused by so called security software.
