Mozilla Bookmarking, it's all over the place, why make it so difficult to use..what nonsense. My question is why have the designers built such an awful none user friendly system.. For example on the right there is a STAR sign, what a stupid star, click on it click on it and a drop down box on the page address bar drops down asking to edit your bookmarks..? Ok so that's no good so next to this useless star is a clipboard sign, now this is your bookmaker menu..now we are getting somewhere..next to this is an arrow pointing down..( it means display the progress of ongoing downloads..what this is not a mobile phone..what is this for..then a House home button..what's the point of that.. The whole page is crock of, well you know what I mean..not easy to figure without spending time clicking around all over the place.. 3 out 10, poor design..

You haven't described how you'd like bookmarking to work, so it's not possible to do anything but take educated guesses as to what you may be looking for.

  • Clicking the ★ Bookmark Star once saves the bookmark in the Unsorted Bookmarks folder.
  • Double-clicking the ★ Bookmark Star shows a menu that allows you to place the bookmark in a specific folder.
  • You can click the Clipboard-like icon on the right side of the ★ Bookmark Star and choose View Bookmarks Sidebar. You can bookmark sites by dragging and dropping the site icon (the globe or padlock on the left side of the address bar) into one of the folders in the sidebar.
  • You can click the Clipboard-like icon on the right side of the ★ Bookmark Star and choose Show All Bookmarks. You can bookmark sites by dragging and dropping the site icon (the globe or padlock on the left side of the address bar) into one of the folders in the Library window.
  • You can right-click any tab and choose Bookmark All Tabs to do just that. This pops up a folder selection window that lets you choose where to place the bookmarks.
  • The Add Bookmark Here ² add-on provides additional bookmarking-related features.

  • To find out what a toolbar button does, place the mouse cursor over it for a moment. A tooltip pops up — brief descriptive text that explains the function of the button.
  • You can remove buttons from the toolbar.
