From * BookMark Shortcut to Choose "New Folder" Is Unworkable to Create New Folder In Proper Place in UBUNTU 14.10
This issue seems specific to UBUNTU or Linux. I just tried to replicate it in Windows 8.1 and it doesn't happen.
Here is the issue.
1) I click the star to create a bookmark
2) I click "CHOOSE"
3) I click "New Folder"
ISSUE 1: It creates a New Folder and does not let be finish typing out the folder's name before locking me out.
Usually I get a folder with no name. Sometimes I get in one or two letters.
ISSUE 2: This folder is always in some sort of seperated tab away from my main folders where I want it to be.
This is nuisance issue but it can get pretty damn annoying depending on the day. :-)
My "solution" is to to go to "Show All BookMarks" and then create a new folder there. I get a dialog box for the folders name and a description. Still ISSUE 2:
It creates the folder in a divider away from the main folders and getting that folder into main set of folders by dragging takes a bit of work. I'd like it just to appear where I want it or have a right click "move to option."

Sorry my Screen Shots Did not Go through.
LOL, and that's the usual result. I get a "New Folder" in a place I did not want. It doesn't give me a chance to finish typing but like I said it works perfectly in Windows 8.1 (With same plug-ins becuase I use sync)
And oh yes, this is replicated for UBUNTU 14.04 and UBUNTU 14.10 across three different installations. Have this on my old laptop, my new macbook pro, and my desktop.

This can happen if you use Firefox Sync to sync the bookmarks.
You can check that by disconnecting from Sync.

You are absolutely correct, once I disconnect from sync this behaviour disappears. It would be ideal if this did not occur even while synced.
Do you know of any way to make that happen?
If not I'll mark this solved because your suggestion is a good work-around.
Thank you for your time.
