I want Google as my default search engine but whateve I do, I get Yahoo.
I have deleted Yahoo from the Options>>Search page, but with no effect. In about:config I can see that all the preferences are set to Yahoo. How can I set them to the selections made in Options>>Search please?

You should scan with all of the tools mentioned in that. No tool finds everything, and once malware gets a toehold it tends to multiply.
