Whenever i log into a page that i have a saved password for, Firefox prompts me up "update" my password. The password has not been changed and the saved log in is accepted. How do i get firefox to recognize that the password does not need to be changed and to stop prompting me at every log in?

hi, you can go into the firefox menu ≡ > options > security panel and add the site where you don't want to be asked again into the exceptions list there - the already stored password will still continue to be suggested when you try to login there.

Sorry Phillip, but that is wrong, and I have tried it numerous times.... Firefox just refuses to remember the password for a login page no matter what you do. When you go to the login page, you HAVE to enter the password manually (attached) irregardless of Firefox's claims to save these passwords. Then, after you enter the password, Firefox drops a window down asking if you want to Update the saved password (attached), but this also does NOTHING at all. Opening Firefox>Preferences>Security>Saved Logins>website> and changing the password to the correct one, does nothing either. (attached) After all of this, when you go back to the login page, it still does not remember your correct password, and it is terribly annoying truly. Can someone PLEASE provide a real solution to this, because I have even tried refreshing Firefox, and everything, but it is adamant that it will not remember the password for certain logins!!

The last screenshot shows to password entries. Firefox might be confused if the website redirects you to a local version. Try to remove all three entries, especially the last one that doesn't show a user name.

THANKS cor-el, that seemed to do it.... \^v^/

You're welcome. Saved passwords with an empty user name have been reported in the past to cause issues.
