How do I set private search winow as default on opening browser?

Always want all browser windows to open as "private window" including first page shown on startup

Hi Middleson1950, the steps for that are in the "Can I set Firefox to always use Private Browsing?" section of this support article: Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history.

I should mention two issues with automatic private browsing:

(1) Firefox's built-in Password Manager doesn't work properly.

(2) Some add-ons will not work properly (the ones that use the IndexedDB format for data storage).

Also note that Tracking Protection is active by default in Private Browsing mode.
