Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • remove checkmark: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

They key is long gone from Firefox and the add-on that did it after can not do it now due to permissions.

You can use this chrome URI to open the Password Manager (create a bookmark and set its location).

  • chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xul

Means it is very visible....

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Ok, I have it on my desktop and it works fine in Firefox. It's my laptop that doesn't show it and having it saved in Edge is of no help. This is confusing since it works just fine on my desktop.

What version Firefox is on your Desktop ? Help-->About for version # please.

You can go to add-ons on the laptop and see what extension it is maybe that you are using. What version is that as this just shows version 59 so no idea if it is a laptop or the desktop.

Did you copy/paste this to the address bar to see how it worked ? chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xul

Yes I did. I just got a list of all my pages with passwords etc. but it doesn't do anything. Don't know how to use it in Firefox. BTW, I'm now on my desktop and there's no key any longer.

Hi, too bad did not know the name of that. You can try/look over any of these password managers. Lastpass seems to be most popular as well as biggest I think. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?platform=windows&q=password+managers Up to you what you do. G'luck.
