I am trying to access a site where the certificate doesn't match the site URL. I know it's okay and I want to accept the risk and continue. I click Accept the Risk and Continue, but it never works and instead I always return to the 403 error Forbidden page. I have tried clearing the history, cache & passwords (I don't use a password on this site), but that didn't work. Is there any type of Whitelisted Sites on Firefox? I have verified that this behavior happens outside the network I'm on, so it isn't being blocked by my site admin.

Is the address in the address bar the same as the domain you are intending to visit? Web or DNS filtering software or services can redirect you, and therefore the cert will not match.

The 403 is a separate issue, meaning the site is refusing your connection as they don't want you viewing the page.

These could be temporary situations which will change later. It could be done purposely by the site administrators, or maybe someone broke something.

You might check the HTTP status using this site https://httpstatus.io/ including with a different user agent than your browser.

You might check the certificate also https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/

A 403 error does not come from Firefox. That error is sent by the website itself, notifying you that you don't have permission to view the page.

Check that the website URL is correct. If you continue to have issues, this is likely something that you will need to contact the website administrator about.

Do you use a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?

If you use a bookmark to access a specific page then instead navigate to this page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case there is a problem with this bookmark.

Thanks for the answer, but I this page doesn't use a username / password. I tried to go to the main page of the website and get the same problem.
