Hi all,

When upgrading from thunderbird 68 with enigmail enabled to thunderbird 78 you can migrate your enigmail data to the build-in PGP encryption. But, all the public keys in the key management vault require acceptance.

I was wondering if there's a possibility to accept them all instead of 1 by 1.

Regards, Kris

Dear Kris, If Enigmail was enabled for an email account in Thunderbird 68 and the "Use this identity's email address to choose OpenPGP key" preference was enabled, then OpenPGP may not be automatically enabled in Thunderbird 78. You must use the settings account to select an OpenPGP key for each account and identity you want to use with OpenPGP. Unfortunately, Enigmail migration doesn't automatically select them for the user. After migration, you should manually check the configuration of all your email accounts and identities and, if necessary, manually select the appropriate key.

I hope I have been helpful

Dear ManuFX,

I'm able to get the OpenPGP working in thunderbird 78, that's not the problem. But I have a whole list of public keys in my vault which I used in thunderbird 68 but now I manually need to accept all those public keys. Otherwise I got an error when sending to them. Which is frustrating because I used those keys in 68 so I trust them, and now I have to accept them all 1 by 1. Which is a hell of job if you have 100+ public keys in your vault.

Sorry I did not understand. however, in this case you have to accept them all manually 1 by 1.

No problem. Thanks for your feedback. Although it's not the answer what I was hoping for. Maybe an idea for the developers to auto accept them when migrating from Enigmail to OpenPGP. That would save a lot of time and frustrations.
