Browser will not display websites with appropriate properties
Hello,
I have a new issue with Firefox that began after a routine, small update to my Mac OS (Catalina 10.15.7). Please refer to the images provided, showing a normal view of a website in Chrome vs what I am seeing in Firefox.
- Link colors are being overwritten by some default blue and purple
- Graphical interface elements, such as the line underneath "All" in the navbar, do not appear
- Black outlines are appearing where they do not normally, and elements that would be in a light gray are now black, etc
These issues are only limited to my Firefox browser and do not occur in other browsers I have installed. I have performed the Refresh Firefox function, and all of these issues are persisting. In things like Gmail, these black lines and flat/missing GUI elements essentially render it unusable.
I'm desperate for a solution.

Settings > General > under "Language and Appearance" click "Advanced..." > ensure "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" is selected
THEN
Settings > General > under "Language and Appearance" click "Colors..." > ensure "Never" is set for "Override the colors specified by the page with your selections above"

That was very good work. Well Done.

This could be a problem with High Contrast Mode on Mac. See "New" in the release notes. Firefox now automatically enables High Contrast Mode when "Increase Contrast" is checked on MacOS in the Accessibility settings.
