The current version is 9.6. For prior versions, I suggest you go to the author's page for Mail Merge, which contains some prior versions.

Click tools>addons and do search for mail merge. Click it and on next page for MailMerge, scroll down to 'About this Addon', and to right is link to author's home page. From there, scroll to bottom for link to version history. OR.. do a web search for

   thunderbird addon mailmerge version history     and the page should pop right up.

Thank you very much, I found the earlier versions. Sadly they did not resolve my problem. The extension that I really wanted the version that had the mail merge option under write and then file sub menu, I last used it on June 29th this year. Somehow perhaps during an update that extension was replaced with this new one. The biggest problem with the new version is that the full distribution list is available to every recipient. In my situation this is members of a class action suing the government on a constitutional matter. Privacy of class members is essential.

Puzzling. BCC would accomplish that for you. But maybe I don't fully grasp the issue. Good luck.
