You asked me to upgrade my service and when I did I was slammed by mcaffee instead of upgraded
After having you pop up on the computer time asking me to upgrade with the options of doing it later. I finally decided fine do it so you will stop bothering me. Instead of upgrading me I find I'm slammmed by mcaffee sercurity. I did not ask to be signed up for mcaffee. I don't want mcaffee. I don't need mcaffee my mother has a service with verizon. And trust me when she comes back from her vacation to find out you slammed her computer with mcaffee she's going to be pissed. She is going to tell you get rid of it, and you eat the expense because we never asked to be slammed and are peeved we were. And even more so we are peeved that we can't deal with someone direct unless we live in freaking california. Or should I say how far are you from my detective brother. He's in san bernadino.

Firefox 3.6.10 was released a month ago, on September 15, 2010, so it probably wasn't a Firefox update.
Do you recall exactly what was updated? IIRC, Adobe Flash has the option to install McAfee, which you need to de-select if you don't want it installed.
Firefox wanted to upgrade and when you click update to put and end to clicking remind me later. It said to update the adobe as well. And the only change is I have mcaffee as an icon and just like firefox. There is no place to click and get an email or means of getting rid of mcaffee. It's like firefox and mcaffee don't want to hear from only one with a complaint. They just want people with checkbooks and credit cards open to their productline.
1. You're getting help here, from me, and I am listening to your complaints. All I'm trying to do is help you realize that Mozilla Firefox didn't give you anything from McAfee. You got that from another program being updated.
2. You can get McAfee from doing an Adobe upgrade if you don't read the installation window that is displayed on the screen and un-check the option for installing the optional McAfee program.
3. Credit card?? When did you ever have to pay for Mozilla software? Everything from Mozilla is free.
4. Have you even tried removing McAfee thru the Windows Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs?
