How to duplicate an existing tab?
I often need to duplicate a tab but I cannot do so quickly in Firefox. I can copy the link, open a new tab and paste the link, but a simple shortcut in the 'right click' menu of the tabs would be nice. IE8 has this feature (Ctrl+K).

- Ctrl-click or middle-click the Reload button to open the current page in a new tab.
- Ctrl-click or middle-click items in the history of the Back and Forward buttons to open a page from that list in a new tab.
- Duplicate a tab with its history by pressing CTRL and dragging the tab to a new position on the tab bar.
- Dragging a tab in the browser window will detach the tab and move it to a new window, this is called tab tearing.
- Drag a tab back to the tab bar in the original or anther window to undo a detach or move a tab to a specific window. If a window gets empty (you tear off the last tab) then that window will be closed automatically.

Thanks
This is certainly helpful, because it's a main reason for my reverting to IE for quite some time. Why isn't it included at least in the main Help topic on tabbed browsing? This is a very frequently required task, e.g., when reporting a faulty web page.
It would be good if there were a keyboard shortcut for it. (Is there?)
I hate the amount of mousing around required in web work.
Hi, there is a plugin that solve this problem and it is compatible with Firefox 12. "Duplicate in Tab Context Menu" https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/duplicate-tab/
You can use Alt+D to set the focus to the location bar and use Alt+Enter to open the current page in a new tab (no need to release the Alt key).
