no matter what I do FF 3.6 always loads 8 tabs when I open it. I do not want these loaded (they were the first 8 I had opened. I have even deleted and resinstalled the app, but get the same result. PLEASE help me. Thanks

You may have those 8 tabs saved as home pages. Firefox can store multiple home pages, for details of how to change them see How to set the home page.
