Firefox is slow and stops intermittenly when using Hotmail

When i use Hotmail in firefox, the firefox become slow and jerky. It can be easily seen when you scroll your scrollbar for some distance before and after opening Hotmail. Worst of all, this effect also slows other opened firefox windows, even when Hotmail is kept idle in the background. Hope you guys can debug this. Now I cannot keep my hotmail window open all the time.
