Why do the people at Firefox not offer solutions to the problems their products create?
I don't understand why Firefox keeps putting out these updates/new versions, etc. They obviously cause so many problems for people after they install the updates -- and then Firefox never seems to offer any solutions to these problems. Do they NOT test their product/updates before releasing them? Why not leave well enough alone and save people the constant hassles that result from these updates???

The main purpose of the forum is to help Firefox users solve their problems with Firefox. Listening to silly philosophical questions as to "why" - is a minor part of what we do here.
Well, you may find my question "silly," but I can assure you that I know a lot of people who feel the same as I do. Either way, thanks for your helpful advice (*sarcasm*).
I would assume that updates are needed to fix holes in earlier versions that are open to attack from hackers/viruses, etc.
Since firefox is free - I don't think you have much room for complaint.
Mozilla does test the software before it gets released. In fact every single change that a programmer makes gets tested. Even then, something can go wrong. But sadly I must also say that users are running a lot of bad programs on their computers that interfere with their Firefox. And sometimes there are other reasons why stuff has to be updated a lot, like with the Diginotar incident. We do not want people in Iran getting killed because of a security problem.
Yes, I realize that Firefox is free, but that doesn't really negate the validity of anyone's frustrations. I just wish they would warn people better about the problems that the updates can cause before asking people to update. Most people rely very heavily on their computers for work, etc. and not everyone has the time or ability to easily undo the problems that the updates cause. Again, if it was just a one-time thing that I've had to deal with, I wouldn't mind as much.
