For the best example, vs Chrome (natively installed on the Nexus 7). I can go to www.foxnews.com and play a video, pretty much any one. I know that Flash isn't on Nexus 7 because of Jellybean (Android 4.1) but Chrome is able to play the videos on foxnews, where Firefox says video type not supported or no MIME found (or something of the like, disappears fast). Would there be a workaround for this since I would prefer to use Firefox...

I have a similar problem on my Notion Ink Adam. Sometimes, on sites that use Flash, I will get this message. It isn't in all cases though. For example, homestarrunner.com (which is entirely in flash) runs fine on my device.

I am running a ROM for Jelly Bean 4.1 on my device. I installed Flash from the adobe website.

The no mime type error is related to non-Flash video playback. Currently the release version of Firefox supports the OGG and WEBM video formats. We are investigating playing back of MP4 files. We have added such support in our nightly build at http://nigthly.mozilla.org it may be able to playback the Fox News video files. If it does or does not I would be glad to hear back from you.

I have the same problem, with a HTC EVO 4G. The stock browser plays video from MLB.COM using the built in streaming video player. So does the Dolphin Mini browser. Is there anyway to set the MIME type in Firefox to use the built in player,

Firefox now supports h264 playback. Checked this on my Nexus. Video does not play I suspect this is a website bug.
