In that bookmarking window, on the Folder line there are two buttons at the right end. The one at the extreme right will give you a window that shows you all the bookmark folders.

After selecting the arrow at the far right there are no additional folders to choose (i.E. Favorites, recently bookmarked etc)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

This issue is still current even in safe mode. While saving a bookmark the folder section drop down menu doesn't show all of my folders. (Favorites, recently bookmarked, etc). I have even disable hardware acceleration, add-ons and extensions. Still no joy. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Same issue.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

Hi All, The exact same thing is happening to me. The drop down only shows 5 of my bookmark folders. Unless I hit "Choose" then they all show but I don't want to take the extra steps. I have 9 different folders and I want to be able to just bookmark a website and drop it into that folder. I end up forgetting which folders I have b/c I only see 5 of the 9. Yes I can see them all when I hit choose but that defeats the purpose of having the bookmark function be a quick & simple one. If I have to "Organize" the folders every single time I favorite a site then its pointless to even show 5 of the folders you might as well not show any. Furthermore I can't even choose the 5 folders I want to show (i.e. the ones I use the most). I would be happy if I could opt to have my top 5 folders in the drop down menu & then the ones I don't use as much be under choose. But there is no option (that I can find) that lets you do that. I've even deleted, renamed, repositioned the folders and nothing is working. Btw this only happens when I 1st bookmark a new page. Under Bookmarks I can see all of my folders & links (no problem). This only happens when I am 1st bookmarking a link & want to drop it into a folder I've created. Please let me know if there is a way to fix this or is this a system issues. Thank you, Melina

Try this extension which allows the folders "window" border to be dragged-down to make it larger.

The third screenshot shows how that feature works. And the larger "window" holds position after closing it, so you'll only need to drag it larger once.

Thank you for your quick reply but unfortunately that didn't work. I think b/c I use the bookmark button from the Menu page not the one that is a link on toolbar. I actually don't like that one and have deleted it. I've attached a picture of what I use & you can see that only 5 folders are shown and there is no way to make the column/box bigger (UGH). Anyway, if you can help thank you. If not no worries (you tried). Does anyone know how to show all your folders when you bookmark something w/o having to pick the "choose" option? The button location or menu item that you use shouldn't matter.

I don't think you viewed the screenshot on the download page carefully enough. If you look closely that image has the right "arrowhead" pointing up, an indication that larger window is opened by that button.

Your image shows that you clicked on the left "arrow-head" and the left one doesn't change the indicated arrow direction as the right one does.
