The option to 'undo close tab' has been greyed out since downloading the new version of firefox. The options to 'restore previous session', 'restore closed tabs' and 'recently closed windows' are also greyed out under history.

I've tried resetting firefox and it worked at first and then suddenly stopped for some reason. I've tried restarting Firefox in safe mode but this didn't work.

I've also tried clearing cookies and history completely, restarting my computer and removing all add-ons but nothing seems to work.

Hello,

See this hrlp article:

Or you can use this addon:

You can reset browser.sessionstore.* prefs that are user set (bold) to the default value via the right-click context menu on the about:config page to make sure that Session Restore is enabled and working properly.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.

Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
