Locks up when trying to clear recent history

Every time I try to clear 1 hour of recent history Firefox 24 locks up. Firefox not responding message. I have to go into Task Manager and end process. Then when Firefox restarts it works fine. Please do not suggest Update. I did that and the current version is HORRIBLE. Not at all user friendly IMHO. I did a system restore to get 24 back. Thanx

Did you try to isolate which item is causing this problem by only placing one check mark at the time on an item to clear?
