Had no problems with systems until this morning when this Alert appeared. Verified setting with NetWork Solutions and they say the Alert is from Thunderbird. Using Windows 7 Pro on Dell PC.

Please advise cause of Alert and fix.

have you rebooted?

more options

Yes, rebooted and purged Trash file. Still no change. Emails are getting to my other addresses in Thunderbird just the Roger@RDC-Inc.com has this message and will not allow access to download more messages.

I can only think of four possible causes.

  1. Your provider is having issues, Contact them for an update
  2. Incorrect settings. (You provider has changed something)
  3. Anti virus hung up on an individual email (Not all that uncommon. disable email scanning of delete what you think should be the next mail from the server using a browser.)
  4. A dodgy add-on. (Restart with add-ons disabled from the help menu.)

When you mentioned "rebooted", were you referring to "Restarting with add ons disabled"?

Have you tried repairing the folders or compacting them?

Thank you for the suggestions. yes I have rebooted, and restarted with add ons disabled . I had also disabled AVG AntiVirus and compacted folders. not sure how I would go about "Repairing" a Delete as "Trash Folder" has been emptied.

Does anyone from Thsunderbird ever answer these "Alert" or publish and explanation?

Logon to webmail via a browser and empty the Spam folder.

In Thunderbird retry to GetMail.

If still a problem, in the Webmail account, look for the oldest not downloaded email and move it to another folder (Pop mail accounts only look in Inbox).

In Thunderbird retry to GetMail.
