I had to format my PC and saved the favorites folder from FireFox of previous installation, now I need to shift those favorites to the Firefox recently downloaded and installed in the new Windows 7 installation, I dont have HTML file of those and they are just plain in a folder called favorite. Couldn't find any help anywhere online.

Please find me a solution. Regards,

It sounds that you did backup the IE Favorites folder and not your personal data in the Firefox profile folder.

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

The "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and later Window 7+ versions and the "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K are hidden folders.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
