How do I restore my bookmarks sidebar?

more options

I don't know how it happened, but I lost my bookmarks sidebar and can't figure out how to get it back. When I click on "Show all bookmarks" it indicates it is empty. If I click on "Unsorted bookmarks" they show up in a window, but I can't make it become a sidebar. Thank you.

To show the Bookmark Sidebar press Ctrl+B or go to View >> Sidebar >> Bookmarks

When you click on Show all bookmarks and the Library comes up you need open one folder to see what bookmarks are stored in that folder, by default Firefox store the bookmarks in the Unsorted bookmarks you can drag and drop your bookmarks to another folder, see more here Use bookmark folders to organize your bookmarks

Also, Firefox 30 added a new Sidebar button to the UI Menu Panel. Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars unfortunately that new Sidebar button doesn't show in the screenshots in that support article, but it appeared in the UI Menu Panel when Firefox updated to 30 for me
