- First show the hidden files and folders:
- Then go to:
- Windows Vista/7:
- <drive>:\Users\<nome-do-usuario>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile-folder>
- Windows XP:
- <drive>:\Documents and Settings\<nome-de-usuario>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile folder>
- Linux:
- ~/.mozilla/firefox/<profile folder>
- Mac:
- ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>
- ~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/<profile folder>
- Windows Vista/7:
- Enter in your profile folder (click on the profile with default in the name) , then enter in the bookmarkbackups folder.
- Ex: a3by8w92.default-1393815348181
- Copy the most recent .json file(bookmarks backup).
- Ex: bookmarks-2014-05-19_30.json
- Then restore from them:
Did you find an "Old Firefox Data" folder on your desktop? If so, please hang on to that for potential additional data recovery options.
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
