The same amount of size was downloaded 206kbps in FDM but firefox downloads 60 to 80kbps why
the 62mb file takes 10minute and more time to download the file i think the same as the speed to download the streaming content what do you think about it https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/media/uploads/images/2014-07-17-23-29-21-befa12.png
Adi answered Like this fdm downloads a file from several connections and later it appends all downloaded parts into one file. Therefore, it downloads a file in less time. It is controlled by servers of fdm. On the other hand, when firefox setup is downloaded by its installer ( Stub ) it is downloaded from server of Mozilla Firefox over a single connection, it does not download several parts in parallel or simultaneously. Therefore, it is downloaded at a slower rate. but why firefox doesn't offer this feature but chrome downloads 200kb why and how firefox hanging the border

Hi valasudurai, Thank you for your question. Actually a download request is the same in both browsers. The service provider is responsible for the protocols used to for a download method. For example, the way it was described to you is a high level explanation for all downloads. A download is not complete until the whole file has been transferred, always in parts. Two types HTTP and FTP. The different types of File sharing are kept track of in the download manager.
For example bitTorrent: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/bittorrent.htm
Test for download using Download api: http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-centra.../test_downloads_large.html
- and source for Download API http://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla-centra.../DownloadsAPI.js
compared to chromes: https://developer.chrome.com/extensio.../downloads
Ok but why you not improving it further i find it the speed was really good on chrome and opera and ie too but not firefox
i already asked why the firefox stops the download when it takes long time or the connection was broken and why it was not notify to the user and its only notify if it success
and the final can you improve the download via p2p connection or someother protocol
hangs whenever i load multiple tabs simultaneously after killing the firefox process via taskmgr the diagbox appear that contains plugins crash box to send the report
