trying to select a large number of e-mails in TB on a win 8.1 tablet without an external keyboard but can't figure out how to do it. Is it possible? I can select all, but if i want to save one in a group, it deselects all the others.

With a mouse you have probably dragged and dropped files between folders by holding down the left mouse key while moving the cursor. This can be done via touch by tapping and holding on an item to select it, dragging to a new position and then releasing your finger. Selecting multiple file or objects can be achieved by tapping and holding to bring up a selection box and then drawing a box around the files before releasing the tap

re: I can select all, but if i want to save one in a group, it deselects all the others. If you only want to save one email, then all others will be deselected because you do not want to save all.

Not really a Thunderbird issue, but maybe someone using a touchscreen option may post something.

Otherwise i would try asking about using touchscreens on the Windows forum. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/contact-support
