Windows 7x64 desktop: I am trying to download firefox 31. Dialog boxes and prompts are in English and it seems to install correctly but when it launches the screen is in russian. What am I doing wrong? I tried firefox 30 but same problem.

(I used firefox a year or two ago but uninstalled it so I know it works on this machine, or at least an older version did.)

Any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for your replies. I had tried all the links except the ftp one. I tried again this morning and everything worked correctly. No idea what happened but it's all good now.

Hi maryfsan, did you download firefox from here or from here ? There is also this link here where you can choose your language.

You can find the full version of the current Firefox 31.0 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

Cor-el is right. There is also another solution. You can check the value of the general.useragent.locale pref on the about:config page to see what locale you have.

To do this, open an empty tab, tap about:config, then enter. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue. After this, in the bar, enter the "general.useragent.locale" value, and see which language is selected in the value on the right side.

I hope my explanations are clear :) .
