I open firefox and type in search bar. Because it is slow it will not even record each letter (skipping letters). When opening a web site it will partially load then the blue download ring appears and flashes for a second then disappears then flashed a couple of seconds the disappears again while the website does not load. It appeared to be a flashplayer issue so I down loaded the latest version recommended for firefox. I've even deleted firefox and reloaded it and then loaded the latest version of flashplayer with the same results. Please help - till this happened used firefox exclusively and really like it !

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;

Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences

Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.
