youtube videos load 720p/1080p videos to 10% then simply stop

My Chrome browser works fine, my IE browser works fine for all 1080p-720p Youtube videos. Firfox for Windows loads the Youtube videos to nearly 10% then simply locks up. I have cleared the cache, the cookies. Still, Youtube freezes up. I can watch flash movies NO problem. This is a Youtube specific problem. However, I use Youtube for some of my College courses. I luv Firefox and don't won't to use another browser. The troubling thing is...this has NEVER happened before
