My Gmail comes to me in Thunderbird, andisn't forwarding to my new charter.net inbox. Can anyone tell me the necessary steps to get this done?
First, just let me say that, had I known what I was in for, I would've NEVER have opened a Gmail account!!
I recently started up a Charter.net email account. I went to my "online" Gmail, to forward all of my emails into my new Charter.net email inbox. It appeared that I had accomplished that, because, as the last step, ( I thought ) was completed, my Gmail popped up a message at the top of the screen that said, "success! All of your Gmail will now be forwarded to your ##########@charter.net inbox."
If I understood this correctly, a Charter agent told me that old, read messages wouldn't download, ( or upload...I'm not sure which one it is ) to my Charter inbox, that I would have to select them, ONE AT A TIME, and move them manually, in other words, mail them to myself at my new Charter email address. But even all of my NEW email, ( coming from Gmail into Thunderbird ), regular, no risk, replies, even spam, isn't coming to my Charter.
Anyone have any knowledge or ideas on how or what I need to do to get this wretched thing fixed? Eventually, one way or the other, I WILL get it fixed, and when I do, I am REALLY GOING TO GIVE GOOGLE A PIECE OF MY MIND...A PIECE LIKE THEY HAVE NEVER, IN THEIR ENTIRE LIVES, EXPERIENCED!!

Sounds like your issue is between gmail and charter. Thunderbird would have no part in this operation.
