Did you activate the Firefox Sync? FF seems saved your settings, password, history, bookmark etc on their cloud if you activate FF sync. CMIIW

It would not let me sync because it did not recognize my email address as a past user and i had to create a new account.

Look on your desktop. Is there a folder called Old Firefox?
