Why is my Firefox browser missing its wallpaper background?

more options

I had a picture of The Burning Man man with his arms up, surrounded by sparks, mostly in shades of green for my Firefox browser background, downloaded from either Mozilla or Firefox. Now it's gone and I can't find where to get it again. It wasn't a theme across the top, it was a background/wallpaper that covered the whole page. Thanks

This could show up on your home page or on a new tab, I guess.

Your home page currently is set to http://search.swagbucks.com/ Is that what it was before when you had the background picture? You can experiment with different startup and home page settings in the Options dialog:

On a new tab, was it previously burning man and now you have the thumbnails? You can experiment with different new tab page settings as follows:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste newtab and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.newtab.url preference and enter your preferred page:

  • Page thumbnails (default) => about:newtab
  • Blank tab => about:blank (maybe this is the right one??)
  • Built-in Firefox home page => about:home
  • Any other page => full URL to the page

Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked.

Success?

Or if the Browser Backgrounds extension is working normally and is just missing that particular image, maybe you got it from this site: http://browserbackgrounds.com/
